“Fabulous hotel near a perfect beach.”

The best

Great location in the town & a 15 min walk to the beach. Within a few hours of arriving we had decided to stay for 2 nights rather than our planned 1. The beach is incredible, huge, quiet & amazing views. Pedro, our host couldn't be more welcoming, we had dinner here both nights, with the freshest of produce. No menu, Pedro just takes you into the kitchen & you point at what you want & it's cooked to perfection! A slice of real authentic Spain, one of the highlights of our trip was staying in this place being looked after by Pedro & his team.

The best

We stayed for one night but would have happily stayed much longer. Everything was perfect for us. The location is fabulous - a pleasant 15 mins walk to the glorious Carnota beach, and just 2 mins to the famous Carnota hórreo, the longest in Spain. The rooms were spotless, chic and very comfortable, with towels, toiletries and a lovely view to the sea in the distance. What makes O Prouso super special is Pedro, the owner, who looked after us wonderfully well. He knew what we wanted before we did! He reserved us a table in the bar, made us a delicious chicken and potato dish for dinner…all without us speaking a word of Spanish! Everyone at O Prouso obviously works very hard to make guests feel comfortable, welcomed and catered for and Pedro is the perfect host. The bar beneath the rooms was lively and popular with locals, a real slice of Galician life. Marvellous! Highly recommend. We’d love to come back.
