Pension San Pancracio

Prime location, Spanish decor, lovely staff.

Mostly decent stay, good for the price.

The best part of the stay was the location..5 min from the Giralda and 10 min from Almeda de Hercules. Right next door to a Flamenco theatre and right in the centre of the action

I spent 2 nights here Fri-Sat as I was travelling for work. Even though the Pension is in the heart of the old city and next to a Flamenco Bar the building was extremely quiet from 22:00 onwards. There was no noise from outside or from other guests. I stayed in a single bed room, with wardrobe, sink and a very strong ceiling mounted fan. As my bedroom (and all other rooms) overlooked a central courtyard, it was possible to pull down the window blinds and sleep with the window open and the fan on even in 36 degree heat and be very comfortable. The thick walls block sound and heat. The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. Check out was technically from 7:00am onwards, but they allowed me to leave at 6:30am due to train times, and were awake to bid me farewell. The room was very small, as advertised, but very clean sheets, mattress and towels. The room itself was spotless, as was the shared bathroom. Complimentary tea / coffee and kettle was provided in the room. I am a mosquito magnet, but was not bitten once during my stay ( which is more than I can say for in my own house!). The location is excellent if you want to explore the old town. There are numerous bars and restaurants a stone´s throw away, although I would add that discretion is necessary as some of them are obvious tourist rip-offs, whilst others serve very good food for reasonable prices. Lots of information is provided on request and in the lobby for live events, tourist attractions and transport. I´ve been bouncing around pensions and small hotels in Seville for the past 5 years and this one is the best I have stayed in by far, and I´ll happily go back again. It´s not 5 star luxury, but if you want a good, cool, quiet night´s rest in the centre of the old town for very reasonable prices (66 Euros for 2 nights over weekend in June), you can´t beat it. Oh, and the shower was very powerful and as hot (tested it...) or as cold as you could wish for.
