“So arguably, the accommodation is on the basic side BUT. the location is fantastic, just off La Rambla and very close to Placa Catalunya. I booked the room with balcony and private bathroom which turned out to be right next to the check in area so I was worried the room might be noisy, especially with the balcony overlooking the square as well. However we were undisturbed all 3 nights of our stay from either direction. The bed was comfy, the sheets and towels were clean and the air conditioning worked. No problem getting hot water in the shower. · Cons: The bathroom is very small,, particularly the shower cubicle. I am of average build but found it very difficult to turn around in the shower or bend down to get toiletries off the floor (as there's no shelf).”

We had our own bathroom, although so small you can barely fit.
