“Pleasant pools and grounds, lots of fun had.”
It was a perfect base for us travelling through to Burgos every day. The pools were fantastic for the kids and a real selling point for us staying here. The rooms were cleaned every day, with fresh towels. Bus stop is only a short walk from the hotel. Friendly owners and English speaking daughter.
The buses through to Burgos aren’t very frequent and you’d need to plan very carefully if travelling here. The cafe/bar food was a bit of a hit or miss but I understand this isn’t run by the people who own the property. By this I mean, it wasn’t always open when it was meant to be and sometimes we had a long wait for food each day. It is too far out from the mainland to get any food delivered to your room on uber eats etc. There is no fridge in the smaller rooms. If you’re staying here long term for a more than a few days it can be quite difficult to ensure that you are eating at the proper times etc.
“Adequate as a stopover, but that's it!”
It was a good location for a stop over on the way from Portugal to France. The room we stayed in was very dated--like 30 years old. But it was adequate for our purposes. We were able to get a reasonably priced hot evening meal in the bar/restaurant. The receptionist was pleasant. Parking was not in the open lot used by the day-use pool customers, but behind an electric lift gate regulated by license plate number.
The pool/waterpark was refreshing after a long drive. But the facility feels like every time the owners had a little extra money, they grabbed a wheel-barrow full of concrete and added one more feature or "improvement." The whole vibe is do-it-yourself by a not very good do-it-yourselfer. The bar/restaurant was not open in the morning for coffee, etc.
“Horrible, à fuir!”
“checkin closing by 9 pm and not reachable after that even by phone”
“Waited ages for food only half the menu asked for drinks never got them till food arrived 1 hour later . Understand they”
Nothing
Room smelled of wet dog and very musty
“Nice and cozy room. Perfect to stop for the night. Also we enjoyed dinner at the near by snack bar. · Cons: We stayed with our golden retrievers. By check in the staff warned us, that we have to take the metal stairs to our room very carefully, as dogs might brake their nails there. We did go slowly, dogs by lead all the time, and one of them broke the nail on our second walk down the room. In total we made 3 trips up and down and within seconds nail was broken. And if they warned us - this happens a lot! So this issue needs to addressed!! After this incident, we put our socks to our dog paws, to make sure this doesn’t happen again. So be aware of this, especially if staying for longer. We stayed only for evening and now we have many days to go on our travel with our dog having pain and difficulties to walk, as nail is totally gone. This really ruined our stay. :(”
