The host refused to let us in until we sent passport photos for all family members, including children — after a long journey and late-night arrival. This wasn’t mentioned in advance. We stood in a dark entrance full of dead cockroaches, with lights constantly switching off, taking photos at the door. The apartment didn’t match the listing — there are two shown, and we got the one with a small kitchen, not the one I expected. It lacked basic items: only one cup, no glasses, no cutting board or hot pads — we had to buy them ourselves. The pipes also made a loud humming noise. I paid 100% of the cost long before the trip, but the experience was stressful and poorly managed.”
