The good thing was that it was situated in the centre of Madrid so everything was near and the facilities were ok.

To be improved

I wouldn't recommend the apartment for a family, it is more convenient for 2 people.

“Can be recommended as a low-cost option”

The best

First of all I would like to mention the excellent communication with the landlord and the cleaning lady. It is nice to have responsible and kind people in charge of the apartment. It should also be noted that the price of the apartment is in the same price range as a hostel in Madrid. But at the same time in the apartment you get a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary cooking utensils, refrigerator and TV. So from this point of view, renting this apartment will be better than renting a room in a hostel. It was clean and the WiFi worked well. The apartment is cold in winter, but this is the case with all budget accomodations in Madrid.

To be improved

The neighborhood where the apartment is located should now be politely labeled with the words “multicultural” and “culturally colorful”. If you have traveled quite a bit, you should understand the meaning behind such words. I'm a grown man and I'm not afraid to walk the streets of such a neighborhood in the evening. But if you feel insecure, it is better to choose another neighborhood.

Renowated, very clean apartment. Perfect position in the city. Nearest subway or 24h Carrefour just 2 minutes from the apartment. Communication with Juan was very good.

To be improved

We are not used to that in southern countries it is not so usual to have a central heating system. So during the winter you need to use electric heaters in the apartment. But the heaters were working, so we did not have cold and the whole family (2 parents and 2 children around 10 years) was happy. Just be careful with the heaters performance - too high can cause shut down of the el. network (it is not problem - the main switch is above the entrance, so you can switch it on easily) Otherwise, it was working perfectly.
