Playa Lucera

Difficult self check in. Filthy patio furniture and loungers. Cockroach problem in the bathroom.

Once again, we had access issues upon arrival. The "key coded padlock" by the main road was not easy to find, and use of these items to dispense rental keys was definitely frowned upon by the Community. Also, it was definitely agreed that we could get in between 12.00 and 13.00, but in the end, we could only drop our luggage off at that time and go get some lunch, because the apartment hadn't been cleaned. The cleaners didn't actually show up until past 6pm, and we couldn't unpack until after they had finished.

The bedding wasn’t comfortable. The duvet cover were two flat sheets on either side of the duvet and the fitted sheet was also just a flat sheet over the mattress. These would shift around during the night. Other than that, the apartment was great.

Cockroachs, but it's ground floor so can be expected. There were plenty of plug in to keep them at bay, so the ones we found were half dead anyway.

A number of issues First the pool was not open, along with others in the region, but were not advised of this when boking our trip had we known we would not have booked. After a couple of days we experienced a problem with cockroaches in the shower rooms and bedrooms. Not nice at all. The extractor fan in the double bedroom shower room didn't work, hence a lot of steam build up. No instructions at all about how to operate the appliances. no handle for the grill pan in the oven. Also disappointed with Booking .coms customer service. Sent a couple of emails with no reply forthcoming V poor.

Patio area dirty and needs.painting. Windows were very dirty and not been cleaned for a very long time. window bars needed painting, very rusty. One of the bathrooms was not usable, the extractor fan didn't work and you xould smell the drains. Good job there was two bathrooms.
