The location was excellent. The bed was comfortable. The room air-con was adequate. The hotel had good facilities.

To be improved

It was exceptionally noisy everywhere in the hotel. There was nowhere to go and sit for a relaxing drink. There were children running and shouting everywhere without any parents to be seen. The room was not the size stated nor was it soundproofed as stated. It was cramped and very dated. It needed renovating. It could have been cleaner. On mentioning this to reception no alternative room option was offered to us. The staff were apathetic to questions. There was no attempt made to control health and safety - I was crashed into by a child riding an electric scooter INSIDE the hotel which grazed my leg and the hotel did nothing to stop this. (This was not the only occurrence of children riding these inside the building.) There was not enough information as to meeting points for activities and entertainment. Likewise if programmed events were changed or cancelled no attempt was made to inform people waiting for the event to start. The pool tiles are extremely slippy. It was almost impossible to get a sun lounger by the pool and the one day we did get two together we found that one of those was broken and the back could not be placed in the upright position. Supposedly the hotel lifeguards are meant to remove towels from sun loungers that are not being used but we didn't see this happening at all. So unless you are prepared to do the sunbed run at stupid-o'clock every day, don't bother trying to get one. The hotel manager is in denial that these things are happening in the hotel as my complaint and follow-up email were both given the brush off and standard corporate reply. Not only will we never go back to this hotel, we will not recommend it to anyone - other than those with feral children that want to do whatever they like on holiday. We will also not be booking anything offered by the Senator group as this hotel's low standards fall way short of their name.
