“Tranquil and gorgeous”
The room is a good size for one or two guests - and a perfect balance of historical and modern. It has every modern convenience (air conditioning, TV, WiFi, washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, sink and dish rack, coffee maker, electric kettle, dishes and utensils perfectly organized in soft-shut drawers, a small closet for linens and hanging clothes, table and chairs, bed, sofa bed, etc.) yet retains a feel of rich, rustic history, so representative of its unique location (with traditional windows, a portion of the outer wall of the Plaza Mayor, and even ruins of the San Martin de Tours church making up much of the walls on one side!). It also affords a great view over the Poeta Iglesias Plaza and alongside one of the arches/entrance ways into the Plaza Mayor.
The room is not completely soundproofed. Due to its central location, it did get pretty noisy on the Saturday night that I stayed here (and I'd imagine Friday nights would be loud as well); but Sunday night was just fine. Also, while there is a small freight elevator, be prepared to use stairs to reach the room.
“Perfect”
I booked an apartment for 5 nights for 333 euros in a row. The room is clean and comfortable. It is located in the downtown square, and opposite is the cathedral. It is very convenient to play. The square is very lively during the day and at night, but it does not affect sleep at night. If I have a chance to come again, I will choose to live here.
It would be more perfect if the plates and bowls of the kitchen utensils were bigger.
“Exceptional”
The location was perfect for us. Over the weekend, the Plaza outside with windows was full of interest. It was 10mts to Plaza Mayor for excellent food and people watching. It was also an easy walk to the cathedral and university buildings. Salamanca is now my favorite Spanish city.
We were fine with the activity in the Plaza, and the shutters were fairly sound-proof. But if peace and quiet is your thing, this apartment may not be the best, at least at the weekend.
“Superb”
“Lovely Apartment in Great Location with Parking”
Great location close to all attractions. Comfortable bed and good facilities. Friendly host with clear check in instructions. Parking across the square.
A bed side table on both sides of the bed would have been useful. Outside can be a little noisy but that is what you expect from such a great central location.
“Stylish apartment in a great location”
Location was excellent. Next to the Plaza Mayor so couldn’t be better. The inside was well done and fits the space nicely with classy stone walls.
Bring ear plugs if you want any sleep. Lots of night time noise from the main square but given the great location it was worth it.
