Verified reviews from real guests who have already stayed here.
Reception was warm and helpful, but some service aspects were inconsistent.
Perfect location for PortAventura, but busy and crowded.
Breakfast and buffet well-received, but loud and crowded.
Enjoyable stay with several positives despite some drawbacks.
Mixed feelings on value due to discrepancies in room description.
Pool on the roof; but not heated.
“Good location”
We just came back from the holiday during the Easter break. Good sized junior suite with necessary kitchen appliances and utensils and even a dressing table in the room. Unfortunately the room was full of mosquitoes even at top floor rooms. The room on the roadside could be noisy at night if you leave the balcony door open. The staff are friendly and especially the cleaners who were doing room cleaning service everyday and maintained a high standard. However the food was not impressive in terms of both variety and quality. Not many choices in food and some of the food were cold even though these were meant to be hot. Not many choices in live kitchen counter and buffet. Pool tables and air hockey tables are paid ones €2 and €1 respectively. Both the swimming pool in the ground floor have very cold water. Location of the hotel was good and close to the market and beach.
“Ponient Dorada palace hotel”
Stayed here Easter weekend 2026, unfortunately a football academy was here at same time (Rondos academy, young lads) so obviously their parents had no control over them (no guidance while drinking alcohol)...hotel staff was very patient, but not up to them to look after other peoples kids. Food was adequate (if you like salad you'll be fine) cooked food was cold. Standard rooms are very small, hotel seems clean (ish). Free coaches to theme park are prompt.. Wouldn't classify this hotel as a 4 star.
“not a bad hotel, pool was freezing”
Not a bad little hotel, pool could do with some heating. But other than that i cant really complain staff where great and friendly. My kids loved the entertainment team. We went in October so it wasn't too busy but i wouldn't like to go to this hotel during peak times because i don't think there would be enough space around the pool or indoors in the entertainment area.
“Good”
We got a reasonable deal in the school holidays and with the theme park/water park included it was worth it. The hotel suited our young children fine. It does a get a bit annoying booking meal times but it wasn’t a massive issue. Food was nice, no problems there. The pool area around the kids pool does need some maintenance, especially as half of the sunbeds are on muddy grass, which is then taking into the pools by people walking around.
“Very relaxing short stay”
Lovely pool area and rooms were very clean and the breakfast was lovely too
Service in the bar was very slow , but other than that it was all good
“Ok for the theme park”
We stayed there for 5 days, specifically to visit Portaventura and Ferrari world. We also went for a wander to see the sea and look in the shops at the tourist toot. We stayed in room 511 which was at the end of a corridor so we had a very long balcony which wrapped around our room. The actual room was rather narrow but it suited our needs. We had a tiny double bed, a sofa that turned into a bed for our child and a kitchenette/dining table. There was lots of storage space for bags and clothes. There were tea cups, glasses etc but no washing up liquid/sponge so we couldn't clean the items we used. I refuse to buy these when we weren't staying for long. I brought my own kettle from home. The fridge worked well and closed properly. The room was dated and our socks turned black from walking around in the room, I question how often it's mopped and how well! The staff were all lovely. The bar staff at dinner were amazingly slow though. The food options for dinner were ok, breakfast was great. The juice options could've been better (only pineapple or orange). We only went to the pool once as we were busy and it's October. We struggled to get sun beds and obvs because of the time of year, the water was freezing.
