“Wow! What a fantastic place to stay! 10/10!”

The best

The property was situated exactly where we wanted to be, 40 mins to Gibraltar airport, 12 minutes to the port for food and the beach and the beautiful pool was the cherry on the cake. It was so clean and tidy, a real home from home. We had everything and more there and made use of the facilities.

The best

The villa is beautiful and really well equipped, it really is a home from home, literally everything you could need is there! Daphne was so attentive and left voice notes to give us all the info we needed and was so accomodating to our needs.

To be improved

Nothing... there were negative reviews about the property regarding the view of some building materials but this does not affect the view at all, it's stunning! There were other reviews about sunloungers, again completely unjustified! I would love to stay at Villa Rosa again for sure

“The villa was spacious but disappointed about the lack of transparency regarding location”

The villa was modern and spacious with a big kitchen and nice furniture.

To be improved

Location was awful due to a very steep hill. The port was at minimum 25 minutes to walk (minimum). The overall reviews of this villa were disappointing as there is no mention or pictures of a very steep hill which you physically can not carry any shopping up. There were no recommendations for a car and odd reviews stating location was amazing but actually it was not. The pictures shown of the balcony conveniently missed a huge area of derelict land with broken tiles and overgrown weeds directly under the villa which really spoilt the view - as it wasnt attached i have shown a real pic from the "luxury" garden . There was also real bad sewage smell which came from the bathrooms together with a constant barking of dogs from all neighbouring properties. The owners were also very rude re the independent review we have left here -(requesting we set rating of 9 or 10)...anyway would never stay here nor recommend this property to anyone - stay away!

“Fabulous home for base to holiday from or simply relax around.”

The best

Spacious and well presented, there was a cosy atmosphere and the home is clearly well cared for. The kitchen allows for a wide range of catering as it's so well equipped. The bedrooms are spacious and have a good amount of storage for longer stays. The log fire gave a comfortable atmosphere and WiFi was very good.

To be improved

Master bedroom ensuite had a very funky acrid smell - almost like a sewer problem. We closed the door and used the main bathroom during the stay. We did have a small issue with the oven cleanliness but nothing a spray and wipe didn't resolve for our needs.

“Lovely views but tired in places”

Comfortable villa with great views of the sea on a clear day.We flew into Gibraltar and got a taxi easily which cost 55 to 60 euros.

To be improved

Lots of dogs barking in neighbouring properties. Pool was closed for the season in early October which we didn't know about until we arrived. I would say car hire is essential as there is only the marina worth visiting within walking distance which will take 30 minutes. Steep walk up to the Villa. Granite staircase looks nice but could do with a handrail. Air conditioning would only stay on for maximum of 3 hours at a time so not great overnight. Patio in need of repair as the tiles have cracked leaving sharp edges and loose handrail (see photos) Patio seating looking shabby.
