To be improved

The time of arrival was indicated when booked. However, I was sent several messages requesting an exact arrival time. The area is a fair distance from Bilbao central so I did not know. I called upon arrival at which time I copped an earful. I did not have an issue waiting to be let in. Notwithstanding we were abused by the angry man who met us. He did not offer to help my 80 year old friend with her bag up the steps and stopped going mad at us only when I told him to leave the apartment. It was unacceptable. The property has been refurbished with IKEA furniture and furnishings. My bed was poorly made and had to be stripped and remade. There was no mattress protector. The pillows were all lumpy cheap ones. There was a reason the walls that were patched but not finished / painted. The internal second bedroom had no curtains so I woke every time the stairwell sensor light shone into the window. The couch was narrow and uncomfortable. The lack of attention to detail by this host / management company was apparent in many areas. Very disappointing overall.
