Posada Abuela is a lovely property with extra amenities. One has access to a kitchen and dining room and a sitting room, which makes the stay very comfortable.

“Quaint experience in a historic Spanish Town in La Mancha”

The Rural Inn Posada Abuela Fedela (Grandma's House) is situated 1 km from the Plaza Mayor in Villanueva De Los located in the province of Ciudad Real, Castilla–La Mancha the capital of the comarca Campo de Montiel. Villanueva has been designated by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid as "El Lugar de La Mancha" (The Place in La Mancha) mentioned at the start of Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes. Our host Miguel welcomed us to his home designated the largest Junior Suite to us in the attic Room offering us the garage to park our car and stating as it was Sunday had made a reservation for late lunch at Sancho Bar a short walk from the house. Miguel prepared a rustic/homely Spanish breakfast each morning and was so very kind, attentive and helpful. The bed was so huge and comfortable promoting a good night's sleep provided by the tranquil surroundings being just out of the town.

To be improved

Although Grandma's House was dated and the facilities of the junior suite could be upgraded - however the Posada possibly would loose its charm>

Our favourite hotel of our trip! Very warm welcome. Fabulous room. Great size. Garage for motorbike. Not far to walk into town with a choice of restaurants. Excellent breakfast. Host very friendly with good English which is nice.
