“Perfect escape, one hour from Madrid”
The best

The location is ideal for an overnight or weekend "escape" - only a one hour drive from Madrid, and you are on another planet. The pueblo is tiny and tranquil. There are many paths and hikes in the surrounding countryside. The owners of the posada are lovely, very personable and helpful. The on-site restaurant operates only on the weekends, so we did not get to try the food, but they did provide us with a very nice breakfast! We will definitely return on a weekend sometime, we hear the meals are homemade and amazing. Overall, a comfortable and relaxing place, well worth the price.

To be improved

The only (only!) caution is that the shower stall in our room was a bit small - for a larger person, it might be a tight fit. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and have no complaints!
