Posada La Cabaña De Salmon

Previous visit was good but this time the room smelled musty + there were cobwebs in several places. There were no staff anywhere just our key left on reception so cannot comment on staff at all. Also the fixtures +fittings were very poor needed some attention.

On arrival in reception there was no receptionist, just a message to call a 'phone no. Our key was on the desk with our name on it. We were left to find our own way around. The room was cold. We telephoned to ask if the boiler was working. We were told it was and that the Hot tap had to flow for at least five minutes before the water came hot. We were also told that the central heating would be turned on remotely: It was but promptly switched off again a couple of hours later. The following day an employee turned up at half past eight. She said she would ask her boss about the heating. He told her to tell us it would stay on longer that night. Again it switched off after a couple of hours, leaving us to endure a very cold room. In the morning there was a frost outside and we both felt very cold. We were extremely disappointed that there were no staff in the hotel overnight, no warmth and no welcome. We will definitely not be staying there again!

The memory foam mattress may have been okay for 1-2 nights not for 6 nights. I was struggling to sleep.
