“Lovely and relaxing two day holiday en route from Almeria to Santander.”

The best

Lovely two night stay in a traditional Cantabrian house, very comfortable and full of character. We were allowed to stay with our three dogs for which we are very grateful as not many hotels/posadas would allow three dogs. A definite bonus and we look forward to a return trip. Close by amazing beaches including Playa Canina in Somo which was gorgeous. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The best

Excellent quiet rural location in hills just south of Santander. Lovely quirky Posada with the owners' peacocks, donkeys and multitudes of garden gnomes surrounding the house and gardens. Excellent breakfast cooked by the owner.

To be improved

It took a while to find the location which would be difficult without a satnav.

“Stunning scenery and so quiet.”

The location is stunning mountain views on all directions absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was great lots of choice and dog friendly.

“Has nice surroundings, the staff is very pleasant and there’s a lot of space for dogs to be around. Amazing farm animals in the property, like donkeys, chickens and some more. · Cons: The sound isolation is non existent, try to stay on the top floor. Unfortunately we slept on ground floor and you can hear everything from the next room and the room above you, when people walk, drop things or even using the bathroom. That’s the only downside of it.”

Has nice surroundings, the staff is very pleasant and there’s a lot of space for dogs to be around. Amazing farm animals in the property, like donkeys, chickens and some more.

To be improved

The sound isolation is non existent, try to stay on the top floor. Unfortunately we slept on ground floor and you can hear everything from the next room and the room above you, when people walk, drop things or even using the bathroom. That’s the only downside of it.

“The little farm - donkeys, sheep, rabbits,.. in the garden. They seemed a little sad though, in need of brushing. The room was nice and clean. · Cons: A bit crazy (and smelly) interior of the common areas. Very noisy bathroom and smelly sewage system.”
