“The bad experience in Tossa de Mar”

The best

The location is excellent. It’s already very close to the beach—just a 2-minute walk—and also near great spots for food and drinks. We stayed in the top-floor room with a balcony, and the view was beautiful. When we first arrived for check-in, we were greeted by a blonde lady who was very sweet. Unfortunately, we didn’t see much of her after that, and apart from her, there wasn’t really anyone else who was polite. They clean the bathroom every day, which is worth mentioning. The bed was also quite large and comfortable

To be improved

Terrible breakfast. There was nothing but croissants, a bit of fruit, a few tiny packets of jelly, and something like cured meat—but we don’t eat meat. The croissants were so stale, it was honestly disappointing. And it was the exact same thing for all six days. Except for the lady I mentioned earlier, I don’t think I’ve ever encountered such rude staff anywhere else. One evening, after a day at the beach, my friend felt a bit weak, so we asked for some hot water to make tea. The staff member we asked suddenly stepped back, covered his nose with his T-shirt, and started yelling, “I deal with so many people! Did you catch a virus or something?” We were completely shocked—especially since we had already explained that we were just tired from swimming. He gave us the hot water, but then something strange came to mind: the day before, the same person told us they didn’t have a kettle and couldn’t provide hot water. Also, while the bathroom was cleaned daily, the trash in the room was never taken out, towels weren’t changed, and they even took our hand towel and never brought a replacement. On the morning we checked out, we stayed a bit after breakfast because our bus wasn’t leaving for another hour. We finished breakfast right on time and were just sitting there when a woman suddenly came and yelled at us: “Breakfast is over! Don’t you understand?” They need to teach their staff to treat customers with respect.

“Highly recommend”

The best

The location is amazing. Half a block away from the beach. The bathroom was quite modern and they cleaned the room every day. You can hear some noise from the street but it quiets down well before midnight. As mentioned in the description, it’s not luxurious but it has everything you need for a short stay

For a very reasonably priced boutique b&b this is perfect for a couple of days. We loved it! · Cons: No air con but we already knew that and there were 2 big fans which was fine”
