We were disappointed by the convoluted digital entry system running off an App that needed to be downloaded. Numerous pre-arrival communications failed to resolve our confusion (we are not all Gen Z!). Two different staff attempted to resolve that matter post-arrival, but we were ultimately given a key card to open the door - genius! We are tech-savvy and experienced world travellers recently turned 70. People like us tend to treat short stay accommodation very respectfully. It would be a pity if our demographic was turned away by overly complicated entry procedures.

I was not aware in Spain that Duplex means two story within the same apartment/unit, so the living room/kitchenette was on the first floor and then up 21 winding steps without a handrail to the bedroom and bathroom. I had to leave my luggage in the living room which wasn’t great for my 5 night stay. It was my understanding on booking that the reference to Duplex meant there were two separate Lofts/apartments. The bathroom shower recess had mould, when I brought it to their attention they had their cleaner attend to it but it wasn’t removed entirely. The wifi was very slow, they later advised there were three wifi options but I found all three to be slow - 1 to 2 bars. The room safe needed new batteries and there was no clothes airer as stated, these were attended to promptly when I notified them. It would be great to see the property managers give some up front advice before the stay eg booking in advance for Real Alcazar, recommendations for cafes and restaurants
