“Great value for the price, but some drawbacks”
The best

Super cheap hostel in the old city center, but you get what you pay for (see below). Great location. Good showers and water pressure. There's a locker and lock included for your stuff. Wifi was ok.

To be improved

Basic bunk beds with no curtains. The bedside lighting is really bright and will light up the whole room, so bring a sleeping mask in case. Room is really stuffy (it hit 37F/100F when I was there). Very small mini fridge in the kitchen.

“Matches the price”
The best

Excellent location. Extremely clean. The terrace is great in the early morning or night. In the daytime it's in full sun. Shower had good water pressure and there was a female-only bathroom. Big room with decent locker.

To be improved

Remember, it's €25 for a reason. Mixed dorm with zero privacy, extremely hot rooms even with AC on, beds are old style and noisy when people move. Each bed has a light, but it lights up the whole room. I'm very thankful the others staying in my room were respectful. Common area looks like one of those old hostels in Asia where the desk is in someone's living room and all their stuff is lying around. Fridge too small for the number of people. This place could be somewhere magical if they put in some effort (with a corresponding price).

“Basic hostel in a great location”
The best

Great location, clean, reasonable facilities (although no hob in the kitchen), nice little terrace to relax on

To be improved

- the kitchen gets locked between 8pm and 10am which is frustrating when you have an early check out and want to get something from the fridge. The place shouldn’t really be called a “bed and breakfast” as you can’t make breakfast! I understand that the kitchen shouldn’t be used at night due to noise etc but I don’t think it should be locked as it can be inconvenient. Also, a lot of people don’t eat until after 8pm so it’s not ideal for cooking dinners. In my case, the staff did respond to my message and opened it for me which I was grateful for. - no toilet paper in some of the loos - some of the beds had duvets and some didn’t (I got a bit cold in the night but thankfully there was a duvet on an empty bed I could use - I think they should be provided on all beds though)

“Very good”
The best

It's really well located, walkable to sights, station, shops and lots of restaurants and cafes. There's a delightful terrace so you can sit outside for food, drinks or chat. The dorms are reasonably spacious, with lockers provided.

To be improved

No lock on the shower door! And if all the dorms are full then the fridge will be a bit too small
