“A nice, clean hotel room just inside the city gates.”
The best

We arrived early and were able to check in immediately via a code sent to open the door. We were greeted later on and completed the documentation. The room was clean and quiet. They were able to store our bicycles for us. The location is perfect - plenty of sights, restaurants, and cafes very nearby. The construction noted in other reviews is now completed right outside the hotel.

To be improved

The air conditioner was a little loud - unable to adjust the fan. But there IS air conditioning, so that is a plus. :)

“Comfortable and inexpensive stay inside the walls of Ciudad Rodrigo”
The best

Wonderful location, just inside the old city walls but within easy walking distance of free parking outside the walls. (Most Americans will not want to drive into the old city!) Very comfortable room with a small balcony looking out over the street and a blackout shade. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Not perfect, but a very good place and excellent for the price.

To be improved

Just two small things: (1) breakfast was very basic, with packaged baked goods and coffee that isn't up to Spanish standards; and (2) thin walls allowed us to hear people in other rooms.

The place could be nice on days when there are no events in town · Cons: It is not possible to sleep there during the holidays because there is noise all night long from nearby bars and noisy people passing by.
