“Great getaway location”

The best

Great location, right on the beach. Seems to be primarily for the Spanish, though we had no problems using English. Fantastic pool, which was a bit cool for me, but wife enjoyed it. Plenty of sunbeds. Very relaxed atmosphere, can get busier at the weekend. Some eateries nearby, though you need to walk about 1/2 mile to reach others. Only real complaint was our shower had difficulty maintaining a constant temperature.

Overall: Good experience. Good things: Very good facilities. Pool (both indoor and outdoor) is great, plenty of sunbeds, eco-responsible towel service. Indoor and outdoor (very large porch) tables for meals, nice meal variety and good quality food. Rooms are very spacious (we were in a standard sea front) with large balcony and double vanity bath. Oddities: Eco-responsible beach towel service (swap allowed only every 2 days) but then they seemed to swap shower towels every day. You have breakfast "shifts" that you need to select at the check-in for the duration of the stay (color coded bracelets). Not so good: For 2 days they didn't refil the shower gel (and it was empty). Drink prices at the bar are high versus outside the hotel (including right at the beach!). All in all, very good value for the money in the mid-season. Note: You can't smoke outside on the tables by the bar, under the porch. There's a coule of sofas on another porched area but there's no table service (nor tables, just sofas).

The Puerto Antilla Grand Hotel is truly grand! The reception areas were very spacious with a stylish variety of comfortable sofas and armchairs artistically arranged among beautiful plants at every angle. The pool was large and spotless. It curved around among interesting tropical trees, plants and fountains, with shaded walkways weaving through it. There were plenty of sunbeds and there was access to the beautiful long unspoiled beach at the rear of the garden. The waiters and staff were exceptionally attentive and pleasant, aiming to ensure that we enjoyed our holiday, Our room was large, with a beautiful balcony with amazing views. The food provided was artistically presented at each meal, affording a great selection to suit all appetites. There were several places to eat in the hotel and allergies were catered for as needed. We loved our luxurious stay and plan to return in the future!

“Beautiful hotel”

The best

Lovely hotel but should have kettles in. Room and should have a buffet on through day also should have staff come ask if want drinks around pool it’s a trek to relax then have to walk a fair distance for a drink but other than that it’s a lovely hotel nice staff second time coming so I brought my own kettle this year

The best

Lovely hotel. Spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Went to a music weekend unfortunately caused some queuing in dining room. Spa lovely and gym first class.
