“Nice hostel close to beach, some local style bars and shopping centre only 10 mins walk away”
The best

Great hostel very close to beach and a spar supermarket just a few minutes walk. Beds were private with curtains, great size and very comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen and nice terrace area. WiFi was good throughout and staff were professional and polite.

To be improved

There was a social outing on the Saturday night which most of the staff and some guests went to. I was not invited to this despite seeing posters displaying #social on social media. If your going to advertise being social why not do it in person, that's where socialising usually starts. The staff were otherwise polite and played good music in reception area.

“Pura Vida Forever”
The best

Although an old building, it is used to the maximum and there’s everything from surfing gear to sewing kits and endless supply of sunblocks and shampoos. While both great volunteers and other guests during my stay certainly helped make it an amazing experience, as long as you see the name Miguel pop up in reviews, you are safe to book and will definitely feel at home. He is both a personable and efficient manager, makes sure there’s always staff around to help and keep the place clean, rallies everyone to go out together and ensures quiet time for those who opt to sleep early. His cooking is not half bad either:) Having stayed at multiple Las Palmas hostels, this is my favourite.
