Sadly, nothing stood out as even average. To emphasise the point, I met another guest and we both booked another hotel for two nights to gain some comfort.

Food - appalling. Bed - diabolical. Location - appalling.

“Amazing romantic bungalow with fantastic food every day”

Quiet and private location. This was our second time in this year ,first was in march. Everything has changed. Massive improvement on staff and food. Wonderful bungalow as part of the romantic suite. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was really good and varied every day. 5* to the new chef ! Im a fussy eater so it means a lot... The bartender at the romantic side - Jenny was the best , professional, smiley,friendly and funny. At the reception Jimmy was very welcoming and helpful and professional. Thank you for all the staff the dedication to their guest. The hotel right on the beach, mainly rocky but you can sit down and have your coffe in the morning & cocktails after dinner while watching the ocean. It doesnt get any better 😁

“Beautiful relaxing week in the sun”

The best

Lovely quiet location with a small beach and beautiful sunsets. We hired a car and went to other places but really enjoyed the peace at Tarajalejo. It was great to have no kids around. Staying in the bungalows is well worth the additional cost. The staff were excellent - they work incredibly hard, speak numerous languages, and do everything to make sure guests enjoy their stay. I hope they’re paid well!

My only criticism, which I hope is constructive, is that there could be better food choices for vegetarians and vegans. At every meal there was a huge selection of meats and fish, but veggie options tended to be quite limited - sometimes just rice and a few different vegetables rather than actual dishes. Things that contained meat weren’t always clearly labelled as such. We’re definitely planning to return and I know that my wife, who usually follows a vegan diet, would be over the moon to find the veggie options had expanded. Maybe even oat milk?!

“We can not wait to go again !”

Close to the beach, amazing swimming pools and jacuzzi. Super helpful and friendly staff. Clean and quite in the suites area, more fun and alert in the hotel area - perfect combo of both worlds. The bars at the swimming pools in both location offer great drinks and cocktails, and the atmosphere made all the difference. The food is as expected, nothing fancy but good meat, fresh fish , fruits and vegetables. Is good value for the money and 4 stars for sure! Done a great treatment and massage at the SPA and super quality. Also booked a day off with catamaran and was the most fun experience - we saw dolphins and turtles . All with the hotel’s personal help. I love cats and some of them around made me really happy 🙂

The beach close to the hotel could do with a little more care, but is a great one 20 min walk .
