“Worst radisson blu ever”

Where do I even start? We arrived yesterday for a special trip to celebrate my mother’s birthday — three generations together, including my son who has special needs. I had chosen this hotel as it was the most expensive in the area, expecting a premium experience, a beautiful view and easy access to the Sagrada Familia. Sadly, what we received was far from 5-star service. From check-in, the experience was poor. Reception staff gave me no clear information about what I had pre-booked, including breakfast which was already paid for. We were then given a disappointing room with no view on the 3rd floor, the room where both the shower and toilet doors were faulty. Both my son and I actually hurt ourselves trying to close them. Basic cleanliness was also unacceptable. There were long black hairs left in the sink — clearly not ours, as we are all blonde. For a 5★ hotel, this is shocking. Breakfast the next morning was another let-down. The food was cold, and the atmosphere was uncomfortable due to other extremely rude guests being allowed to stare at people while they ate. Staff made no effort to address this or create a welcoming environment. To add insult to injury, although I had requested a late checkout the day before (hoping to take my mother sightseeing on our only full day), nothing was confirmed. When I called again in the morning, I was suddenly told it would cost an extra €30 — despite the hotel being almost empty. For a family here for a birthday celebration, it felt like an unnecessary and unfair upsell. Other issues included: • No air-conditioning • A TV that repeatedly turned itself off • No proper view of the cathedral, despite this being one of the main reasons we booked Overall, this has been the worst Radisson Blu experience I’ve ever had. We spent a lot of money for one night and received poor treatment, unsafe room conditions, and a complete lack of hospitality. I am genuinely disappointed and feel a refund or meaningful compensation is more than justified.

Nice location and pleasant staff……rug under bed is pretty dirty, otherwise room was nice…..wash clothes non existent….a Europe thing
