Verified reviews from real guests who have already stayed here.
Standard service quality for this hotel tier, though there were some issues with responsiveness during peak times.
Well located with easy access to nearby attractions.
Mixed experiences led to a generally positive stay despite significant issues.
Value is reasonable, but the fee for amenities and the lack of complimentary water diminishes overall value.
Rooms were nice and comfortable but had issues like temperature control.
Amenities were decent, but the fitness center was small and pool access was limited.
“The worst New Year's Eve ever”
One of the worst experiences in recent memory. A New Year's Eve trip that ended in a complete disaster. The air conditioning in the room was set to cool, causing the temperature to drop below 17 degrees Celsius. The staff didn't resolve the issue for several hours. A room change was arranged at 11:30 PM on New Year's Eve!!! The next room had the same situation, but the temperature was over 25 degrees Celsius. The Michelin-rated restaurant was also a complete disaster. The food was below par, likely prepared several hours before serving, making it stale, especially the seafood. The service was insufficient for the number of guests and completely unprofessional. Besides, this was probably the first time I spent New Year's Eve without music and decor. Given all this, the least of my problems was that the 10% restaurant discount turned out to be just another unfulfilled promise. And of course, there was no reaction from the hotel management upon check-out, no apology, no explanation of the situation.
“Good facilities with a service that should be must better.”
You expect a great experience for a 5 star hotel. I was very disappointed with the staff and public areas. The room was great and very good location.
“Great location, nice hotel, good reception desk service but no proper AC”
The hotel is centrally located and convenient for exploring the area. The staff were very friendly and efficient — check-in was smooth and welcoming. Our room was on the smaller side but clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Unfortunately, the biggest drawback was the air conditioning. Despite the hotel advertising AC, it did not work properly. When we asked the reception how to make the room cooler, they claimed that they could lower the temperature of our room AC remotely from the reception desk to 17°C, but that clearly wasn’t true — the room never cooled below 20°C. We’ve noticed this issue becoming more common in European hotels, where AC is listed as an amenity but often not truly functional outside of mid-summer or heatwaves. It seems some hotels choose to keep the central system off or circulate only mildly chilled water to save on costs. Overall, while the location and staff were great, we would not recommend this hotel or stay again due to the lack of effective air conditioning which is important to us
“Sorry”
We stayed with friends for one night in mid October,Sunday. We were doing a ten night journey from Santiago ending in Madrid. The room what you would expect for Radisson, the bed large and comfortable, but little things weren’t right. I usually give positive reviews, however. The roof terrace bar was inadequate and expensive, said they had run out of nuts, crisps and things and there was nothing they could do about it. The electrics for the bed side lights kept tripping and they had run out of soap in the shower, you don’t expect this from the Radisson.
“Great Location, Spacious Rooms — But the Service Disappoints”
The hotel has a nice, convenient location and spacious rooms, although they could definitely do with less dust. Breakfast was a little bit confusing— the coffee was watery, the scrambled eggs oddly sweet (could not eat them) and any à la carte orders were either forgotten or never arrived on both mornings we were there. We could not figure out if this was a lack of resources or just nonchalant attitude. The rooftop bar was another disappointment. Service was incredibly slow considering there were only 3 tables occupied (30 minutes for a plate of croquettes!), and in the middle of the evening, the staff shut down the bar tap because they were changing waiters — something I’ve never experienced in any other hotel, not to mention the cost for drinks is as expensive as London. Communication was also a little bit of an issue, as most staff didn’t understand basic English. The spa experience was equally frustrating (Spa staff very nice though! ). If your treatment is booked after checkout, you can’t access the spa, since your room card is deactivated and that’s the only way to get to the -2 floor. When I asked for flip-flops as instructed by the spa, I was handed two dental kits instead — a perfect summary of the confusion and lack of attention to detail throughout my stay. Overall, this hotel fails in service and organization. Such a shame, because the location and room size could have made it a great stay.
“Had shower problems-no maintenance til 10am to fix it. Phone not working can’t call for service. Restaurant is closed.”
Shower too hot. No maintenance to fix til 10am. Could not call for service/front desk, phone not working. Not a 5 star $$$
