“Location wise”
I was lucky to get a really cheap price for this hostel and it didn’t disappoint! Location was very central. Everything is just outside the hostel. The staffs were really friendly and helpful. Hasta pronto!
“Just ok place”
The hostel is in the heart of Madrid Citycenter. Toilets are ok and clean. Tue Hostel is really with a compact rooms, where privacy is not that much. The upper beds is really annoying, where there's no place to put a ladder to climb to your bed. The breakfast is funny and not worth to eat it. The staff almost don't speak English and the night shift staff man was a bit rude. I only recommend it for no more than one night.
“Homey ambience, fantastic location”
Stayed 3 nights in a 6-bed mixed dorm. Fantastic location - hostel is situated right in the heart of Madrid and within 2 mins walk from Sol metro station. But this also means lots of noise even late into the night, which could be a problem for light sleepers. Homey ambience and the staff at reception were helpful giving us some recommendations on what to eat etc (when we asked). Wifi was good and rooms were clean. The bed frame was a bit old but still comfortable. Power sockets and lockers for each bed. There's no air-conditioning - not a problem for me though. The showers are a bit problematic. There's only 2 shower rooms and adjusting the water temperature is a HUGE problem. Largely because when someone else (in the other shower) is using the hot water, your own hot water supply gets cut off. This results in a sudden surge of heat, or sudden wave of extremely cold water coming into contact with your skin while you shower. Hope this problem can be solved. Apart from that, comfortable stay.
“To avoid !! It's not a hostel !!!”
It's a terrible hostel that I wouldn't recommend : the bedrooms are all around the living room of an old man who spends his day watching TV. The "breakfast" is just industrial products wrapped in plastic. They take everything out of the fridge by 30°C everyday and so the food is rotten! When we told the owner he swore that the ham wasn't rotten but then he went to get new one... We didn't feel welcome at all (they can't speak 3 words of english). There is no AC and we couldn't sleep the window open because of all the noise and music on the streets (until 6 AM)! If you use the shower in the same time as someone else in the building, then you won't have hot water.
“Avarage hostel”
The location was good as it was about 3 min from sol. Easy access to anywhere via metro. The room was nothing special a bit worn out... The staff can't really speak English they don't understand anything if you have an issue so better to learn how to speak Spanish xD
“Small and well-located”
A little tricky to find but a warm reception from friendly staff when I did. I stayed in a 6-bed dorm which was was comfortable with enough space. Location is excellent with short walks to the main attractions around Madrid but also close to the metro if you needed to use that. Limited bathroom and kitchen facilities, however.
