No place to put the clothes in the dormitories, not even a shelf or hanger.

I really appreciate the host. We were scrambling to find a place to stay a few more nights (everything had become really overpriced because christmas holidays). Host offered us his only available night (1 extra night) at same price we'd booked at (not overpriced). Then when he came to feed the chickens and collect our payment he lowered the price a bit and gave us 6 fresh eggs. Was an cool and unique place to stay as well. Good access to Taborno and Benijo hikes (recommemded) and pretty good access with a great drive to Playa Las Terisitas. Other good lesser known viewpoints and short hikes off the road the house is on.

An ideal base for exploring the Anaga Mountains. The house is just under 2 km from Las Carbonaras with its many marked walking trails. The visitor centre at Cruz del Carmen can provide maps and information. The house clings to the steep hillside and looks out into the tree tops. The wood burning pizza oven style fire helped with the chill of the December evenings. The restaurante las cuevas in chinamada does an amazing goat stew.
Electricity is purely supplied by solar panels so the house rules stipulate no additional appliances to be plugged in aside from those already provided. It's fine to charge a phone but don't do like I did and blow the fuses trying to use my hairdryer!! Take enough provisions for your stay - the kitchen is well equipped. Restaurant opening times are variable and there aren't any shops locally.
“Perfect for escaping the crowds and enjoying nature”
First of all the home is in an amazing location. You are surrounded by a beatiful forest. If you want to relax and escape this is a place to chose. Greenery and wild birds all around you. The house itself is very cute and the owner is helpful.
“Exceptional”
Location, it's very quiet and we enjoyed the fireplace
The only thing we didn't like that our stay was too short ;)
