Great location, very clean and well equipped, quiet
“Wonderful visit to Madrid”
The location was excellent. The apartment is small but very cleverly designed. It has a well equipped kitchen, a washing machine AND dishwasher. Also lots of packing space. The interior is very appealing, with huge old wooden beams that are part of the roof structure. We loved the view over the terracotta rooftops. The management team are just a phone call away and are very efficient. The apartment was clean and welcoming. The apartment is a loft apartment on the 5th floor of an old building, so absolutely no street noise - or any other disturbances! We had a great time.
We liked everything about the apartment. First time access is a bit complicated. You need to climb the stairs to get to the apartment to use the code, open the door and fetch the lift key. So you can only use the lift once you had access to the apartment. BUT the management team explained this in detail in advance and offered to meet us there if we were unable to manage the stairs. The Internet connectivity outside in the street was poor and we struggled to open the link on the website, even though we had a hotspot, Once again, we were immediately helped by the very available team. So although our arrival was a bit difficult, everything was soon sorted out and once we had all the keys, we had absolutely no further problems for the rest of our stay.
“A nice place to be stay in Madrid”
The initial access to the unit was a bit complicated. Other than that we had no issues. Communication with the owners or managers was good and they were ready and able to help specially upon arrival when we needed them the most. Location was fairly good, near the Center of Madrid with many attraction, museums, train station, restaurants, markets and shopping centers at walking distance
“A well-located, comfortable apartment for a couple”
We had a pleasant week-long stay at the Apartment of Charming Reina Sofía, which proved to be a great base for exploring Madrid. The location is perfect for visiting museums, art galleries, and theatres, with everything within walking distance. For longer journeys, the metro station, bus stops, and train station are conveniently close, and there’s a supermarket nearby for essentials and a lot cafes. The apartment is located on the top floor of a quiet, well-maintained old residential building with a character, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we appreciated the thoughtful small starter kit with a tea towel, washing-up liquid, and other basics. The apartment also has a loft area accessed via a very steep ladder — it can serve as a nice little working space if you're on your laptop. A heads-up for first-time entry: the main door to the building operates with a digital key (possibly NFC), so you’ll need a smartphone and a quick brain to follow the instructions provided by the host via email. We also had a minor hiccup with the apartment door entry code — it either wasn’t yet activated or we weren’t using it properly — but a quick call to the host got it resolved remotely. Overall, a comfortable and convenient choice for a couple looking to explore Madrid with easy access to the city’s main attractions.
Be sure to read the small print. We had to sign a short-term rental agreement as advertised, but the damage deposit turned out to be €300, not the advertised €200, though it was returned the very next day after check-out without any issues.
“Passable”
The barrio. It is so full of life and different cultures! Also the barrios surrounding it are of the type.
The self check-in form didn't even work. As if it wasn't enough that we paid so much money for the stay + a 200E deposit!, we had to do all their work ourselves. How lazy and greedy can you get? We waisted so much time and nerves with the stupid form, if they had done it themselves, it would have cost them 5 minutes. Incredible.
