Relais & Châteaux Hotel Orfila

I had a really great stay at Relais & Châteaux Hotel Orfila. The hotel is elegant and feels calm and peaceful . It’s not too big or busy, which makes it very relaxing. The building itself is elegant, and the attention to detail is evident in every corner. The staff were very kind and helpful. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and were always ready to help with anything I needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Everything was well taken care of, and it felt like a special place to stay. The atmosphere was lovely, with a soft and elegant smell of lavender that made the experience even more relaxing. Breakfast was one of my favorite parts. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, and everything tasted high quality. What I liked most was how quiet and relaxing the hotel felt, even though it is in the city. The neighborhood around is actually one of its biggest advantages—and it fits perfectly with the calm, elegant feeling of the hotel, but everything interesting is very close. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Orfila- gorgeous room and outstanding service made for a wonderful week in Madrid. Highlights- Leo the hotel bartender with his attention to detail and excellent cocktails made us return to the hotel rather staying out before dinner! One night we advised the front desk our daughter would be coming in very late and when the front desk clerk saw her on camera getting out of Uber went out and escorted her in - very appreciated. Quiet, luxurious and personalized service we will definitely return!

I spent three nights at this hotel with my daughters to celebrate my birthday and our experience could not have been any better. The location was in a lovely quiet neighborhood, but walking to everything. The atmosphere was beautifully refined, and the rooms were very spacious. The entire place has an elegant European feeling that is very unique. The staff was very welcoming and always went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. I would absolutely go back to this hotel again in the future and recommend it to any of my family and friends.

This is my second review of this spectacular hotel. I hope to return every spring. Aside from the physical beauty of the property (it's a little jewel--a former palace, built in 1886, sparklingly clean, filled with antique furniture, quiet classical music in the restaurant, oriental rugs...and only a few rooms), the service is extraordinary, Knowing that the day after my arrival was my birthday, a slice of cake (with lit candle) appeared the night before, after my dinner: the next day, more slices appeared at lunchtime. So unexpected and appreciated. When I couldn't finish my slice on the first night, it was delivered to my room on a silver tray. Why so much about the cake? Well...I think it explains a lot about the staff. Every person I encountered was helpful and kind. In the restaurant, they knew exactly how my friend and I wanted our coffee every morning. It was like being in a friend's home-- such a warm and delightful environment. The neighbourhood (Chamberí) is charming, filled with 19th-century buildings, shops, and restaurants. If you stay here, you will have the most lovely experience. I send my deepest thanks to the entire staff and look forward to returning next year.

I organised a big breakfast at Hotel Orfila, and the service is impacable, the food delicious, and the private salon for my event was perfect.

..having visited many Relais & Chateau hotels in many countries this visit was our first and we are absolutely. sure that more will follow. The location could not be better for our taste, central within walking distance to all relevant destinations but off the large boulevards and touristic sites. The room towards the garden was spacious and very clean and it is worth mentioning that there are two doors betwenn bedroom and the outside , hence no noise to be heard. The most impressive and important point was the service , one could feel that it came from the heart and that it was not the result of a routine training as one can find it in international hotel chains. A lovely hotell in one of Europe´s most stunning, clean and safe capitals, worth a visit without regret.
