“If a tech-bro designed a check-in process...”
The location was good.
Very complicated check-in that absolutely requires that you already have internet connectivity (not just WiFi at the airport with a plan to buy a SIM card after you get settled) and a dry place to work through the 10-15 minute process exclusively in Spanish that needs a photo of your passport just to begin the process. I arrived in a very significant rainstorm and once at the apartment I found that no instructions had been sent to me on how to enter. There was no cover from the rain and the touch screen on my phone struggled to work because it was raining so hard. I eventually found a phone number to call and the person who answered was friendly, and probably didn't invent the check-in process, but there's just way too much unnecessary complexity and reliance on tech at this apartment. Entry into the building requires Bluetooth via an HTML webpage...I've never ever seen this. It is like some tech-bro decided they wanted to show off how much they know. If you aren't up to speed with tech, or can't do desktop-scale computing work on a tiny (and potentially wet) phone screen, really you should consider going somewhere else. If it is raining, expect your bag to get extremely wet while you sort through all the tech. Fortunately they had a drying rack and a couple days later I had dry clothes again. The bed is really a large couch with sheets on it. If you can position yourself in the right place it's okay, but move across the uneven seam between the cushions and it can get quite uncomfortable. The wiring is reversed for the water heater (off = on, on = off on the switch) and after a cold shower on the first morning, I found the sign that was meant to be above the switch explaining this. The sign was beneath the tray that holds the coffee in the kitchen. The water heater is tiny so if you have two people wanting a shower, be very quick.
