The location of this establishment was perfect, right on the water with endless ocean views.

For the money, and a five star establishment, I was surprised by the lack of small personal touches that would have made the room more comfortable like a box of tissues and a coffee - tea facility. These things are cheap, easy and would make the difference. The spa could also use a wider range of services. Massage was nice but all the other spa services would make it even nicer.

Dining at the restaurant for lunch and dinner was quite disappointing—lacking flavor and excitement. The terrace, however, offered a lovely sea view, and the staff were attentive. Unfortunately, I would rate the food a mere 2 out of 10. The hotel itself was nearly vacant, and it would have been a pleasant touch to be offered a room with a sea view, but that option wasn't presented to us.

“Just what the Dr ordered. A relaxing week away with great hosts”

Excellent position on the beach. Lovely surrounding hills and the staff were great and very friendly. Rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard and the atmosphere was peaceful so great for a lazy stay away.

The hotel was beautiful but once you step out of the gates, it is in an area that is very much "Brits abroad" with restaurants competing for the English breakfasts and cheap beer. We went for a week to recover from a couple of years hard work so it didn't bother us we just chilled and enjoyed. One other thing is that the hotel food and drink is extremely expensive. We hardly saw anyone at the pool bar and I think that's why (22.50E for a beer and Mojito and 130E for a 2 course evening meal, 2 bottles of beer and a small bottle of wine) I feel if the prices were more realistic then they would get more custom. Having said that, the food was excellent (although we were still hungry after) So no issue's with the hotel just some constructive comments to help others who travel in the future.
