The entry door to the building had an entry code but the door was open and wouldn’t close. La Palma is a very safe island but travelling as a single woman and arriving late that made me feel a little unsure about security. Needs to be fixed

Be careful with the hot water - it gets scorching in the kitchen and it's not hard to burn yourself. A few extra things in the kitchen to prepare food would be fantastic, but for the mostpart it had the basics. One of the rooms had a window out to the hallway where there was a light that doesn't turn off at night. It would be great to have a room darkening curtain over that window as we didn't use that room (two of us slept in one room instead, so we left that one room empty).

Kitchen was horrible. Rest was so so.

Luckily I had earplugs because the walls are very thin, the apartment is right on the street outside and the windows are not airtight, so the wind blows through.

I thought I was getting a balcony according to Booking.com. There was a loose pane of glass in a small window above the bedroom door which rattled in the wind (& it is a windy island). The shower curtain wasn’t fit for purpose so the drain got blocked by the curtain.
