“Elegant Boutique Stay in a Historic Area”
This boutique hotel offers stylish rooms and a welcoming atmosphere right in the literary heart of Madrid. The design is modern, the rooms are comfortable, and the location makes exploring the city extremely easy on foot.
“Excellent location, good size rooms, and comfy beds”
My husband and I stayed here twice during our honeymoon trip to Spain. First, March 19-23, the room with the green blanket. Then we went to Granada for 2 nights. The hotel kept our big suitcases in a locked room behind their desk. Upon our return we were in a slightly better room for March 25-29. You can't beat the Las Letras location. We took a few taxis in the rain but otherwise walked nearly everywhere in Madrid. Partially because it's flat and lovely and we were in a good location, but also because the metro isn't handy compared to Barcelona's. Anyway, the hotel was really good. Comfortable beds, good water pressure and temperature, even if the in-room setup is odd for Americans. We had a good amount of outlets, were able to hook up a Switch and laptop to the TV (we brought an HDMI cable) and barely heard any street noise. We did use their laundry service once (in addition to a few sink pieces on our own) for $100 and it was nearly same day and nicely done. The front desk staff helped us find the very close farmacia when we both had colds, there's also multiple breakfast places, sushi, and gelato literally around the corner. While Room Mate Alba was our first choice, we would stay here again! Stay 1: Hotels.com for US $765, booked in December 2024 Stay 2: Direct with Room Mate for $841 but pay on arrival, also booked in Dec 2024
“Great location with unfortunate building construction next to our hotel.Great location👍 with construction next door😢”
We arrived and we’re greeted by a very lovely hospitable staff. No complaints. However, there is construction next-door, which you will see pictures. We were originally on the fourth floor with a better view of the square and then we were demoted to the second floor with a view of the building being worked on and a little piece of the square.. The location of this hotel is perfect. Unfortunately, there’s renovations of building next to it and they have no control for that. If you’re going to book with roommate, Alicia check to see if the construction next-door is still going on.
“Perfect location.”
Room Mate Alicia is the perfect location for people who enjoy walking everywhere. We were able to see all the major sites of Madrid within easy walking distance. The area felt safe and there are countless restaurants nearby. Our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet and the front desk staff were always helpful and pleasant. The shower was very good with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and if we return to Madrid, this is where we would stay.
“Small boutique hotel”
Friendly helpful staff, we received a warm welcome, and the receptionist gave us lots of tips, how to get around! The room was a corner room was quite small but met our needs for a long weekend. Lots of storage space for luggage clothes, toilet and shower were small. The beds and pillows were so comfortable!!! The room was spotless clean, small mini bar. Good air-conditioning. We got the breakfast one morning, good value @€11 coffee juices breads pastries fruit, scrambled eggs bacon, cheeses. Again helpful staff. Hotel has a brilliant location easy to walk to Mayor Square, shopping, Palace etc. Again check out was very efficient, helpful we stored bags and staff offered to organise a taxi. Only recommendation- would try to make the internal courtyard look nicer a few plants tiles as we left the blind down when in the room, TV with wifi to get other channels. Overall we really enjoyed our stay ☺️ and would highly recommend.
“Good choice”
Perfect location, clean, good value-price rate.
Beds are too soft, pillows are enourmosly big.
