Room Mate Pau, Barcelona

Room is great and location is brilliant - highly recommended on these points. I booked through booking.com, but it was booked then through someone else who made separate bookings for each of the 4 nights, this was sorted thankfully and combined. We booked an executive room, we were in room 308 which had a view of the street to the front (opening window and julienne balcony), other than the unit at the foot of the bed there was no separate desk and no chair which I thought from the photos and description there would be. If you wanted to work at all in the room then it would not be great. I found my back aching a bit with no chair to sit in. The toilet is separate, as is the shower, they have their own doors off the bedroom. The basin then is a unit opposite these. This worked really well for us and I think is a great design. The heating / cooling was great. As was the cleaning, the bed was great. All in all would recommend but be aware that tourist tax is payable on arrival even though booking.com said that all taxes were included.

Everything!! It was absolutely amazing, comfortable, beds were incredible and clean, close to everything, easy parking option and most of all, staff were so welcoming especially the guy in the evening. He’s the best and totally made our stay easy with children. Highly recommend ☺️

Very good location next to plaza catalunya, everything was in a walking distance (metro,shops,food,buses,aerobus) and the area was very safe even at night. For the hotel, it was very clean, rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was very very friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. They also kept our luggage till late at night after we checked out because our flight was at midnight and we could also stay at their terrace till we left for the airport. Breakfast was very tasty and had a variety of foods (both savory and sweets, all types of coffee, juices etc). The hotel as a building was very modern and so were the rooms. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and it’s a value of money, we stayed for 7 days and have no bad things to say! We liked the location of Room Mate Pau, the front desk staff were very present/friendly and accommodating. The staff provided us with ice, and wine glasses, allowing us to enjoy a glass of sangria in the courtyard, contributing to a pleasant day in Barcelona. This location was recommended to us and met everything we were told about the location. Thank you for making our stay in Barcelona, wonderful.

Excellent service all around we arrived early and they gave us a room right away. They have a great breakfast also serve all different coffees at n/c from 12 to 6 PM

Best location to stay in Barcelona, only 2 min walk from airport shuttle bus which is especially handy for female senior solo traveller. Also right next to El Corte Ingles department store which has lots of food options.
