The room didn't reflect the listing on Booking. It was definitely smaller and not entirely clean. The cupboard door was broken, leaving very little space inside. The window faced a very noisy street. There was no air conditioning. After reporting our concerns to the owner, he said the photos were taken 10 years ago!!! I don't recommend it; it's better to pay a few euros more and get a nicer place.

The check in process is unnecessarily complicated and long, long because it took three attempts before it would work. After a long day travelling this is not what anyone wants to be doing standing in the street at 2am which leads me to another problem with the check in process - scanning your passport/ID on the street. Malaga is probably one of the hottest places in Spain so the fact that there is no air conditioning in the room is just stupid and uncomfortable. Open a window? Forget it, the place is right on the probably the busiest street in the entirety of Spain. The rubbish collection trucks come round at 1am, then again at 1:30 and again at 2am to empty all the various rubbish bins that are right outside. Cockroaches in the bathroom and 1 in the bedroom. I squashed it with the Apple TV. This location has a shared bathroom. I messaged the owner to say there was no toilet paper, he said he was “on to it”. We returned to our room and there was still no toilet paper. I messaged him again and he said he had forgot. Spend a few extra € and stay somewhere a bit nicer.
