The location was great.
The instructions stated somebody would contact us but nobody got in touch until the second day after we sent several messages.
The apartment was large and well furnished; however, the lack of adequate fans during a heat wave was troublesome.
The extra charges for late arrival were unexpected.
Standard quality for this hotel tier.
This listing has great potential but was a terrible experience.
“No hot water in the flat, but a great location.”
- great location, but lack of hot water and zero response was not worth it - flexible check in
- no hot water and zero response from the host almost I contacted them daily - smelly bathroom - once the host reacted to the problems, there was zero action taken to make up for it (rebate on that stay, voucher for next one)
“Disappointing”
The location was very close to the old city in Girona and so a great place to walk around and explore.
The apartment was darker and noisier than I had anticipated. The couch and chaise in the living room--which allowed two people who didn't want to share a bed to stay there--had stains on the upholstery, though it was clean. The property managers took a long time to reply, which was frustrating because the toilet was broken/running throughout our entire two night stay.
“Stay away!”
Stay away from this and all the other WINAHOST apartments. Before your arrival you have to pay a 300,00€ deposit. You will only get it back on request. They kept more than 100,00€ because apparently I damaged a door (that was already damaged). If you read the other reviews you will see that they already charged another customer for the same broken door. Oh yeah, almost forgot to tell… the bathroom was stinky, nothing was clean upon arrival, everything is old and you won’t find a close parking spot.
“Stay away from this propriety and winnahost.”
Location is very good, right in the Old Town. But if you are a light sleeper, the magnificient cathedral”s bells will remind you every 30 minutes how beautiful they sound. Catalina was very helpful and had a smooth cooperatin when getting the keys.
The apartment overall is comfy, not the cleanest and everything in it is very quite old and susceptible of breaking. The towel handle in the bathroom is loose and your towel will get on the floor and there is a leak in bathroom ceiling. Not to mention the bath drapes that are amazingly dirty. When I arrived I noticed that the gas heater was leaking (see photos). The host actually said to stay away from the heater cause she doesnt want me to risk anything. Also, the heater makes a loud noise, radiators too. But the worst part is that they kept 176.66 euro from my deposit (btw, there was no mention of deposit here on booking.com when I made the reservation - maybe booking should fix this) because of an alleged breakage of the door handle. In fact, the day before leaving I tried to open the balcony door, the handle went up in its open mode but the door was stuck and the handle got jammed (photo and video attached). I didnt try to fix it or force it to open anyhow, but I reported this on the whatsapp contact I had from winnahost, sending them pcitures and videos. They apologized for the incovenience but when having to return the deposit they said they will keep 176.66 euro because it was my fault that I broke the door (in fact it got jammed because it was old and old things break eventually - they dont have to be fixed on guests money. Owners should assume costs for old things that get malfunctions). Now if you take a look on the invoice it says that the door broke because of misuse. Where in the world does a tehnician puts a diagnosis on an invoice? I asked them to tell me how in the world the reached this conclusion that I misued the door? NO ANSWER. I have only shut and closed the door like I do for 40 years.
“Very good”
The apartment is well furnished, there's everything you need for a short term stay.
It wasn't clean. The floor was very dirty. The oven had been used by previous guests and it was greasy. The sofa in the living room is run down, it should be replaced.
“Great location and nice apartment by the city centre”
great apartment, quite spacious and well-located. Kitchen had all we needed to make a quick drink/breakfast, and neighbourhood was quite pleasant, as we went during Temps de Flor
extra bed was uncomfortable, but our 3rd guest was not initially foreseen- Despite that, they were very attentive bringing extra bedclothes
