Rustic Poble Sec Apartment

Mold, said there is elevator and there is not. From the ceiling there is falling pieces when people walk upstairs. Basically the apt was probably renovated couple of years ago, got some good grades. Now it is rotting and riding on the old rating. One room was unusable from mold smell, our nanny had to sleep on living room.

Way too noisy, you can hear any kind of noise or voice coming from the apartments surrounding this one, at any time of day and night. There are no toiletries provided other than toilet paper. I was expecting at least some body wash and shampoo. In the bathroom, you can't even sit straight on the toilet as there is just not enough space between the wall and the toilet itself. There is also not enough space to get out of the shower properly as the toilet is right next to it - very claustrophobic. The bed frame in the main bedroom, and the bathroom door, are a constant loud and streaky squeaking - extremely annoying. Bed linens in the second bedroom had holes in them. Useless hairdryer - one of those attached to the walls that stops working after 3 minutes. Why even asking for a 200 euros pre-auth on the credit card if you don't even provide a proper hairdryer? It's 2024, it should be the norm. Overall, a disappointing accommodation.

I was disappointed to find that the apartment did not match the online description. There was a noticeable mold smell, especially to the inside room with no external window or door. The other two places have a window and a balcony that was quite small, opening to a skylight that allowed very little fresh air or natural light to enter the space. Additionally, it seems the photos provided are outdated, taken when the apartment was last refurbished, which was misleading. This experience highlighted the importance of accurate and current listings for future guests. There was no alternative to get our keys (for late check-in at 02.00 AM) and we pay extra fee for late check-in.

Extremely tiny bathroom, you have to sit on the toilet slightly sideways as your legs don’t fit in front with the wall right there.

Musty, dark, no air and no sunlight. Has roaches in the bathroom. I got an electric shock from the vent hood while washing dishes...
