“Basic Hotel, could be lovely”

The swimming pool and gardens were really nice, breakfast was varied.

To be improved

The bar area was very tired, it was so difficult to get served, you had to shout to get noticed, put you off using the bar. No entertainment, no music absolutely nothing to do in the evenings. Rooms were comfortable but very basic, had to ask for a hairdryer and kettle, no cups or spoons provided.

The best

Staff were great, and they were very accommodating storing and charging my e-bike in an office. Room was okay, showing age but fine and great view. Buffet dinner was fine, and they packed an excellent breakfast as I was leaving early.

To be improved

The room had not been cleaned properly, there was discarded rubbish in the bedroom and in the waste bin, and the towels were on the floor and on a rail, and wet. I’m still unsure if the sheets were clean or not, I would have thought if there was doubt, and there was, that they should have changed them as well.

“Value for money - good stay (spartan)”
The best

Hotel staff was friendly and solved one issue, one of the rooms had an old mattress so they changed us to another room. The hotel has everything you need, perhaps a little bit spartan but excellent value for money.

To be improved

The hotel needs a refreshment, for example the elevator which is from 1977.
