“Read this before you book!”

The best

The house was comfortable and the pool was clean. The terrace was very large and the rooms were a good size too.

To be improved

1. The Advert misrepresented the number of actual beds and this resulted in 2 adults (not related or a couple ) having to share a small double bed. When this was highlighted to Homerty the response was very poor with no attempt to make amends compensate or even apologise. Booking.com handled this very well but the onus was on the villa management company Homerty 2. The Wi-Fi was very poor and barely accessible from any areas. There is no router in the property and the signal comes from the owners house which is approx 150m away. Make sure you have 4G. 3. The villa owners’ 2 medium sized dogs and cats were permitted to roam around the villa and pool area. While they seemed friendly I would be very careful with young children. I also had to clean up a “present” left by the dogs around the pool area. Not what you expect to do on holiday! 4. The villa location is quite remote and the final 300m is up a very tiny steep and windy (hairpin bends) road which is on the side of the mountain with a drop and is a pretty hairy trip even for a confident driver. The car sensors were beeping from both sides constantly. A very stressful drive in a hire car. Make sure you take out car excess insurance. 5. The amenities in the villa were pretty poor. Make sure you take your own loo roll, hand soap bin bags and washing up liquid. These household essentials should really be provided. 6. Finally on checking out of the villa I accidentally left a pair of trousers in a drawer, I contacted Homerty the very same day to ask them to post to our hotel and they said they could not find them. These trousers were “taken” so make sure you check you have everything as you may not see them again. Bar these not so inconsequential issues the villa is fine and comfortable. My issue with the bed situation and the embarrassment and inconvenience it caused for the other guests was very upsetting. I hope Booking.com. take some action and have this company Homerty on their radar..
