“Service issues and disappointing follow-up”

Stayed here for several nights with my family (including young children) and had a consistently disappointing experience. This wasn’t one isolated issue—it was a pattern: * Difficulty accommodating basic room setup for a family * Lack of meaningful assistance with luggage * Slow and inattentive food service * Staff that were often disengaged * Frustrating checkout experience * Room temperature issues that were never properly resolved Individually, these things happen. Together, it reflects a hotel that is not operating at the level you would expect. What was equally disappointing was the follow-up. The response from the hotel management was largely defensive and focused on explaining away the issues rather than taking accountability for the overall experience. This property falls well short of Marriott standards, particularly for a family stay. I would not return and would recommend others look carefully at alternatives.

“Poor experience!”

The front desk staff are nor friendly at all. Room is dusty/not clean, and they don’t have water or tissue papers! Food is below average. Location is far from the city center.

“Perfect place to end your Costa Brava trip”

The best

Staff was extremely nice, wonderful location and very sheik feel. Really enjoyed staying there the night before our flight. The airport is only 10 minutes away from the hotel, so very convenient and relaxing way to end the trip

To be improved

The shower got water all over the bathroom floor, was a little strange

“If this place was a hoStel I’d give it 5 stars.”

The best

It’s a newer hotel steps away from the Mediterranean beach - 8 minutes walk to the bus stop and 8 minutes by bus to the airport. Busses leave every 30 minutes and only cost about $3 per ride. The location near the airport is the best part. The pool is nice and the employees are helpful but the place is quirky…. NOT in a good way Water temperature in the shower kept varying cold to hot so it was impossible to enjoy without freezing or scalding. The thermostat is impossible to figure out The light at the bedside had no switch so I left it on all night and covered it with a towel Breakfast does t start until 8 am weekdays so don’t stay here if you have a morning flight and want to eat breakfast. The breakfast buffet only had one helpful young lady but the place is slammed at 8 am My eggs took 20 minutes to scramble - the. I had to scramble to the airport. If it was hostel, I’d give it 5 stars. For a Marriott - meh. Nothing to brag about.

“Cons: Such a classy hotel, but very poor quality hotel bicycles. Everything was perfect, except the poorly maintained, sad looking bicycles out front. The hotel is far away from „downtown“ and so they need to invest in quality bicycles (and someone to service them regularly) if the boardwalk is to be enjoyed.”
