“Stairs. Any mobility issues don't stay here.”
Location.
Stairs. Photos were deceiving. Upholstery was filthy! Bathroom door handle was broken and was falling off. No racks in oven. Rendering it useless. AC dripped.
“Realistic Lifestyle Perspective of Living in Barcelona”
Noisy, yes. Dated, a little. Stiff beds, yes. Value? You get what you pay for. We liked the immersive experience. The unit is close to Sagrada Familia and the metro. It takes under 30 minutes to get to Park Guell and downtown with walking and public transit. It has charming old shutter-style windows that don't block out the sounds from the street below. It's not a touristy area but it does get traffic and foot traffic most of the night. (Earplugs are provided at the main entry...nice touch.) The unit was very clean. Comfortable bedding...stiff mattresses. Adequately stocked kitchen. Welcome packet was helpful with dishwasher ball, washing machine pod, soap and rags. Large grocery store right around the corner and plenty of smaller 24 convenience stores nearby. Full size fridge, oven, stovetop and dishwasher. Half-size washing machine and full size dryer (use the 3 hour drying cycle...first one to the right). Easy entry with lock codes. Adequate space for family with 4 large kids. About 40 stairs up to the room, it's a bit of a hike.
I think we got what we paid for.
“I would have paid extra to get a place that was clean and fixed up and had newer furniture”
The property was close to train and restaurants and sites and there was plenty of space for 3 people
The property was dirty and in disrepair the bathrooms had painted tiles that we moldy and peeling. The laminate floors were buckling, the rug was filthy, the leather sofa was stained and dirty, the lamps were for show in pictures as there were no plugs to plug them in. The common area was dirty and loud, the walls were thin and you could hear the neighbors across the hall. The apt was 5 flights of stairs up with no elevator…
“It was nice play to stay for the end of our European adventure. Great location.”
The location. The size. The washer and dryer(didn’t work great). Individual A/C units for customized temps. Surrounded by lots of food, shopping, sights. Easy 30 min walk to beach. Two blocks from Sagrada
The beds were small, very hard mattresses but reaching out to management quickly changed and upgraded our mattress. A double bed is too small for two adults. The locks on doors were missing or broken(also fixed when requested) A/C leaked and dripped constantly in living room area. Did look at it but the fix would require us to stay in the apartment for hours to fix. We opted to listen to the constant drip in the mop bucket. Not enough outlets. None in the primary bedroom by the bed. No nightlights or bedside lights. It’s very loud in the stairwell where two of the bedrooms face. People coming in all hours being loud. Lots of stairs. It just needs some general maintenance- hooks in bathroom missing, holes in walls, paint chipping or peeling. Overall decent and suited our needs.
“Not like the pictures”
The location was very good you could walk everywhere
The pictures show a much newer apartment. In reality the place is old, paint is coming off some walls, bathroom has black/blue stains on the silicon lining. The toilets don’t function very well. The walls are so so thin you can literally hear every word the neighbors say. None of the bedrooms have a direct window to outside but rather to inside the building which makes it difficult to get really fresh air at night.
“Bad experience!”
Nothing
The place has no elevator and the unit was 2 floors up, we had to carry 6 large suit cases up by stairs. Not even the main bedroom has ensuite bathroom. One of the two bathrooms has no lock also. The main door's automatic lock keeps making sounds at different times like it's being unlocked by someone, it felt really unsafe. No daily housekeeping service in the price. Has no reception to keep our luggage. Only upside was, that the enjoy apartments staff were helpful, by letting us keep ours bags in their office for no extra charge. All in all, it was a very bad experience for the price we paid and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, especially travelling with family.
