The apartment was on the very edge of Capileira, at the lowest elevation of the village. From a positive point of view, this makes the location more secluded and provides for wonderful views of the valley below. However , from the public parking lot, there is quite a drop in elevation. If you’re in reasonably good shape, this isn’t an issue but if not, accessibility may be an issue. Having said that, though, the entire town is built on a very steep slope so maybe visiting the town in general could be a concern — not just this particular apartment.

While I would definitely recommend the apartment itself, the initial experience related to quite odd rental practices shaped our overall feeling about this rental. We booked this apartment which features 2 bedrooms. However, upon arrival we found that one of the bedrooms was locked. We immediately contacted the owners, only to find out they lock one of the bedrooms if the number of tenants is 2. At the same time, we were reprimanded for not reading the rental conditions of the apartment. However, no such information was included in the rental conditions we received. On the contrary, under the section: Your room details it said: "Entire apartment". Nor was it found under the rental conditions of the offer. So, despite the fact that in the end we were allowed to use both bedrooms, the overall impression was quite unpleasant. So just a bit of advice to future tenants to double-check whether you will get what you pay for.
