Sant Francesc Hotel Singular

breakfast was lovely, pool was small but nice, bed was lovely and big, building was beautiful, all staff were amazing

Situated in the Old Town, the hotel is a fabulous fusion of original architecture mixed with contemporary pieces of furniture and art, all of which have been curated superbly. There has been no compromise on fittings and accessories. Great attention to detail throughout. The hotel staff exude a quiet confidence, they were attentive without being intrusive and their attention to detail and service and general hospitality was 1st Class. Finally and yet so often ignored, the King Size bed was extremely comfortable, guaranteeing 3 wonderful nights sleep. Overall, hard to find fault. We are definitely planning to return .

Seven years ago I wrote a review of Sant Francesc, where I stated it was “close to perfection” and in our top five hotels in the world, just behind The Bel-Air in LA and San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito. It is still just as outstanding, although we met an American “travel influencer” in the hotel, who clearly did not understand boutique hotels and down-rated it because of the lack of a doorman. Nonsense! Our room was a delight, although I would prefer more privacy in the bathroom space. Staff are exceptional throughout all areas of the hotel. Food in the restaurant is superb, and the rooftop pool/bar remains exceptional space. We would not dream of staying anywhere else in Palma.

The hotel is an oasis of calm and eye catching design in a busy Palma. So well located just steps away from busy piazzas and main sights but set in its own sedate little square. Staff are helpful and friendly … but staff at breakfast deserve a special mention for very focused customer service. We arrived exhausted, in the very early hours after a very much delayed flight, the staff member on duty was so efficient in getting check in details to get us to our room quickly … which was so much appreciated. As a result of our arrival time though I think we lost out on a bit of an orientation chat which might have been useful. When we visited, the hotel was very quiet in the evening after we returned from dinner, we were the only ones in the bar most evenings. The gym is small but functional with no air conditioning, however can only be comfortably used by one person at a time. The real winning space is the roof top pool and bar, the area doesn’t have many sun beds, so was busy even though our weather was mostly cloudy. Our room was as described, facing the square, the sound proofing is very effective. The room was dark though (small window) would definitely request a brighter room if I returned. We were there to celebrate a big birthday and the hotel made it special with a few added gestures which were much appreciated … thank you.

Always great experience, quiet luxury, delicious food and very relaxed - our 'second home' - just love all and can't wait to be back.

Truly special 3 night stay in this wonderful small hotel. Perfect location in centre of Palma with walking distance to cathedral, beach front, marina, local restaurants and old streets. But in a lovely quiet traditional Palma square so no tourist or traffic noise. Staff were fantastic and very attentive. Rooms are very stylish, I honestly couldn't fault this lovely hotel at all.
