Sara's apartment Barcelona

There were no instructions at all in either English or Spanish as to what and how to do things in the apartment. Lack of basic cooking utensils no kettle no microwave limited cooking capability. No breadboard and limited cutlery. No hints to shopping, bus or metro stops or even any check out details. I would not stay here again and the fact it is not refundable makes it inflexible when booking months in advance and if changes are required. We tried. There is no contact with the host at all and all we had was her son meeting us at the apartment and his mother threw the keys down from the window but we never saw her or were greeted. Bit strange when she lives in a separated part of the overall apartment. The apartment is 45 mins by metro from centre which makes for a lot of very early starts if you want to visit sites early. Not to mention the inability to come and rest in the middle of the day so you’re exhausted at 6pm noting restaurants in Barcelona city and surrounding areas begin dinner meals starting around 7:30/8:00pm. The bed did not even have a top sheet so there was no way to cool down . The rooster started crowing across the street at 2am and the garbage trucks pick up garbage all night as late/early as 12-1am! I filmed 3 in a row one night for various different recycling bins right outside the apartment window just past midnight. I don’t know how this property rates so high in Booking.com

Bath mats In the bathroom and some mats or carpet would have been better on the bare concrete floor in the apartment.

I didn't like the 1. distance from city center 2. front door is extremely difficult to open 3. bed sheets not instructed where they are kept so some of us slept without it at first night 4. sofa bed - not instructed how to set up so we ended up googling or see photos of it in the images here 5. drinking water had to be taken from outside
