Sea Coast Apartment

On our 3rd night we returned to the apartment at 11.00pm and found neither the entry code or key unlocked the door, we were locked out for OVER 12 HOURS. Owner/agent could not be contacted by us or yourselves but we were told by several members of your staff we would be compensated for the lost night and any alternative accommodation. We were let in late next morning by a man who inserted his pass key, turned it but also had to throw himself at the door to open it then he disconnected it fromthe electrical supply and we were told to wait in until the lock was fixed with a new part. We waited all day then someone came at 4.30pm and shoved paper in the lock. We were advised not to use the handle or lock from the inside but just to put the safety chain on. This was very insecure as the door was open to the extent of the chain, when we went to bed at night we had to put chairs against the door to stop it banging. It was not fixed for the rest of our stay and when we reported it again were just told to use the key to get in. Once home we made contact again and you advised us there would be no compensation in this instance. We persevered and were told we could have 25 Euros as a goodwill gesture and we could contact the owner/agent who required proof that we had been locked out. As presumably he organised the two (maintenance?) men who called surely he has proof. We have subsequently discovered that you take no responsibility for any problems and act as a third party only.
