“A great stay marred by the last day's air conditioning breakdown”

The best

The hotel is in a fantastic central location close to the metro station so it was a 40 minute trip from the airport via metro for €5 per person and then a 10 minute walk. Our room was not big but pretty nice, with all the facilities, and with a huge window. Breakfast, while not filled with a lot of variety, was better than most.There's a 20 minute walk to the seaside. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.

The only thing that marred our 5 day stay was air conditioning stopped during the last afternoon and didn't come back for a full night. The heat was brutal in our upper level room so even with the window open (not a lot, because of some dumb security mechanism) it was close to unbearable. Our repeated calls to reception did not have any results except being told the AC unit on our floor was down and would be fixed in an hour or two (it was not). When we walked down to reception the next morning, AC still not running in our room, they seemed to have air conditioning nicely operating down there. Which led us to question if it was switched off intentionally on the upper floors for cost cutting measures. Either way we spent a full night without much sleep due to the heat.

The ‘fitness centre’ described is not that of a 4 star hotel standard. Neither is the breakfast. Disappointing stay, more focus needs to be put back on the customer experience

“Prons and Cons”

The best

I liked mattress on the bed,very comfortable, bedsheets were soft, sparkling white. Basic toiletries were provided, bottle of shampoo/shower gel, disposable toothbrush, soap, shaving kit. Air-conditioning was working fine. Tea sets and 2 bottles of water were also provided. There was a small fridge enough to keep some basic food and water.

To be improved

The soundproof of windows is not the best, you could hear voices and sounds from outside unfortunately. Also internal door between the room and the corridor is not sound isolated. People walking in the corridor and banging their doors at night can be easily heard. You also can hear when neighbours were flushing toilets. As I am a light sleeper it was very difficult to have a proper sleep.
