“Great Holiday”
Just arrived back from a week’s holiday with my partner. Lovely hotel, friendly staff , couldn’t fault them at all. Food was great and the rooms were large and cleaned daily. The hotel is close to the beach and bus depot too. If I had to fault it the night entertainment can be a bit cheesy but they put 100% enthusiasm into it. Overall a good hotel Reception staff are lovely too. A big shout out to a waiter named Pablo, he was very friendly and great at his job.
“Lovely clean hotel”
We have just got back from a week at playa bonita with our 14 week old baby and we were very impressed. Very helpful I sent a couple of emails before hand to ask for extra pillows/travel cot and then we're very accommodating. Hotel was lovely and clean spacious rooms. Nothing is too far from the room because its not a massive complex. The toilets near pool were kept lovely and clean and so was the pool area dining room etc. never seemed really busy despite been full (apparently). Staff very friendly and the people at the hotel all seemed lovely. Food was best we have had at an all inclusive. Could be a bit relative at lunch but the evening was different themes and the attention to detail was the best I've seen. Would definitely recommend and was the perfect place for first holiday with our little one. We didn't really leave the hotel much as found the resort itself wasn't that nice.
“Chilled out & peaceful hotel”
My wife and I recently had a very pleasant one week AI stay at Playa Bonita. The reception area, for a 4-star, is quite small and basic but the receptionist who checked us in, Carla, was very warm and welcoming and provided good advice on the hotel and surrounding area. The accommodation is situated in 4 cylinder shaped towers each consisting of 5 floors including the ground. We were given a room on the top floor of Torres 1. Our room was very large with plenty of wardrobe storage space, a small balcony, comfy bed, large settee, wall mounted TV that included UK channels and a decent size bathroom with a highly effective and easy to use shower. A fridge and kettle were also provided but strangely there was NO complimentary tea & coffee! The maids were excellent at keeping our room spotless. The complex is situated around a large swimming pool with an outside bar where there are plenty of sunbeds to go round. Everything is very clean and well set out. There is an animation team and evening entertainment every night on a stage close to another outside bar and seating area, but we did not see a lot of it. The hotel has one restaurant which is large and comfortable, providing a wide extensive range of delicious food at all 3 daily sittings. Amazing scrambled egg and extensive range of salads! There is outside seating available at the front of the restaurant and also near the pool area. One restaurant criticism though, the tea & coffee machines seem quite old and are painfully slow. Being a 4-star, the hotel should also have some kind of indoor seating area, which it lacks, and there are areas around the place in definite need of some TLC i.e. coat of paint, general repairs etc. The surrounding area of Playa des Ingles is fairly lively with plenty of shops and clusters of bars and restaurants. We took the short walk down to the prom and walked to the famous Sand Dunes and on another day to neighboring San Agustin. Beware though! There are a lot of steps involved in these walks. We took public bus trips to Melanirous, Arguineguin and Puerto de Mogen which are all very pretty places. There is a bus-stop just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We were also lucky enough to catch the annual Gran Canaria Carnival which had been postponed from the previous week due to bad weather...it was incredible!! Yes, a very satisfactory week at Playa Bonita and the few negative issues mentioned did not deter our enjoyment of this chilled- out and peaceful hotel.
“A lovely week in a lovely hotel”
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 1 week from the 20th Feb, a few weeks ago. We found all the staff to be polite, friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely, with all that we required in it. It was kept really fresh and clean daily, by the lovely ladies. Clean towels were left daily, too. The food was tasty and plentiful. The hotel is in a great position for the beach and the shopping centres. I would definitely recommend this hotel. In fact we have, today, booked to return again in 4 weeks time, on the 29th April.
“Not a 4 star”
Stayed for a week all inclusive. Mass production of food is always tricky but consistently the food was only ever luke warm. Even if we were first in the restaurant! That said, it was perfectly possible to eat well from the cold buffet selection. For all inclusive the food selection was of a high standard. Staff were very attentive in the canteen and it was clean. Reception is small and underwhelming. 4 star hotels we have stayed in welcome guests with a drink and a smile, sometimes the offer of help with luggage. We had a perfunctionary explanation of the hotel and were told our room was somewhere behind reception. Rooms were some of the largest we have stayed in. We were in block 4. The lift was broken on 2 days which would have been an issue for some perhaps. Hot water was plentiful and never an issue. Towels changed daily which was nice. It was also one of the quietest hotels we have ever stayed in. Night noise was not a thing - except the rain and wind! - entertainment was minimal and over by 11pm. The local area appears under funded and dated. There are a huge amount of steps to get anywhere and the distance to Maspalomas is quite a walk. We racked up 40 miles over the week! We won't return to the area, the hotel was ok in itself though.
“5 star”
This hotel is rated a 4* but we believe it should be 5*. The rooms are clean, cozy and on the large size all with balconies. The pool was lovely as with the hot tub area as with all the grounds. The bar staff always friendly giving good measures and plenty of entertainment every night. Finally the food was outstanding similar to a cruise ship. Thanks to all the amazing staff.
