Dear Seven Hostal, I am writing to formally explain the circumstances surrounding my unused reservation and to request a refund. Initially, I noticed that my reservation for June 30 to July 4, 2025, was made for one guest instead of two, which was a mistake. I discovered this on June 29, 2025, and immediately tried to correct it by contacting both Seven Hostal and Booking.com. At first, Seven Hostal informed us that adding a second guest would cost an additional €300, but shortly after, we received a call reducing that to €200. At that point, I contacted Booking.com for assistance. Booking.com offered to mediate and told me the adjustment would cost €170, pending approval from the hotel. However, Booking.com was unable to reach Seven Hostal by phone and instead sent an email, advising that a response could take up to 48 hours. Since our check-in date was the following day and we were already at Palma de Mallorca Airport, I called Booking.com multiple times for updates, but they continued to report that the hotel could not be reached. In contrast, when I personally called Seven Hostal, you answered and informed us that you had not approved the €170 adjustment offered by Booking.com. Instead, you quoted us a new price of €400 to accommodate the second guest. This contradicts the previous offers and left us confused and unable to proceed with the booking. Booking.com customer service advised me not to cancel the reservation on my end, as it would void any possibility of a refund. They assured me they would handle the cancellation and refund directly with the hotel, based on the miscommunication. Had I known from the beginning that there was poor coordination between Booking.com and Seven Hostal, I would have accepted the €200 offer from the hotel directly and avoided further complications.

The location of the air conditioning unit in the room is not suitable, as it is directed straight at the bed, which means it cannot be left on during the night. In the other room, there is no air conditioning at all, and it gets very hot.
“We really enjoyed our stay at Seven hostal. It is just 50 meters to the beach and the boulevard with a lot of nice restaurants. The staff is very welcoming and enthousiastic. Breakfast in the morning on the terrace is really good and the fresh coffee as well. Beds are comfy. We really recommend this place!”

I booked the smallest room, which was perfect for my needs – clean, comfortable, and had everything I required, especially since I didn’t spend much time in the room. Marcel, the owner, was absolutely fantastic. He was so accommodating and friendly – anything I needed, he was happy to help with. That personal touch made a real difference. The location is also ideal, within walking distance of everything Cala Millor has to offer – the beach, restaurants, shops, and more.
