SibsBcn COLISEUM - Cozy and Central

We stayed at this apartment for four nights, and from the moment we arrived, it was impossible to rest. Loud, distressing screaming came from the ground floor of the building - not next door, but inside the same property - where there’s an elderly care facility. The noise was constant, during day and night, including at 3AM and 5AM. I contacted the host immediately. They were apologetic at first and said they would speak to the care home. I kept them updated daily, even sent a video showing the noise at 3AM and 5AM, but nothing changed. When I asked to be moved somewhere else to sleep, my message was ignored. After I requested a refund, the host offered €250. I accepted it, only to be told it would be processed after checkout - but only if I didn’t leave a review on Booking. I replied that this wasn’t a refund for the inconvenience caused, but an attempt to keep me quiet, and that a fairer refund was deserved. The host then accused me of blackmail and stopped responding. Booking.com tried to contact them too, but they ignored that as well. This was not a peaceful stay since we never slept. It was four days and nights of noise, poor handling, and zero accountability. I would not stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

We had no negative experiences.

The wall sound proof for the next door neighbor is pretty bad. You can hear the next door residents talking loudly in the morning in the bedroom.
