Siesta Mar Chill Out

Some of the staffs English and general rapport with us during the stay was minimal due to language barrier and lack of enthusiasm. 75 Euro for the apartment to be cleaned during the stay was too expensive. Siesta Mar should at least offer a second set of bath towels to get you through the week at no extra cost. That was poor.

We arrived at the apartment late at night, as previously arranged and confirmed with the hotel. However, we faced difficulty getting in due to poor instructions and issues accessing the lockbox. When we finally managed to enter, it was clearly unclean and appeared to have been recently occupied—there were used pizza boxes, leftover drinks, dirty bathroom, and an unmade bed that looked slept in. We assumed someone was still in the apartment and as a group of young women, we felt unsafe. We attempted to call the contact numbers provided multiple times, with no response. At one point, we seriously considered contacting the police to report a possible break-in. After waiting for over 1.5 hours, a staff member eventually arrived and confirmed that someone had likely broken in due to the lockbox code not being changed between stays. They mentioned seeing someone in the room earlier that day, yet no effort had been made to inform us or ensure the room was clean before we arrived. We were moved to another room, which took an additional 30 minutes. By that point, we were exhausted and just wanted a safe place to rest. We raised our concerns with reception the next day, but received no apology, acknowledgment, or compensation. This ruined our first night/day and left us feeling uneasy for the rest of the holiday, making it hard to fully enjoy and feel safe for the rest of our stay.

No instructions on how to open & use the safe & only one tea towel provided but apart from these minor things everything else was very good
